Following various training sessions for Togolese journalists on "media and ICT issues" organised by the House of Journalism, with the support of PIWA and regional meetings in Dakar, journalists decided to create an association for the promotion of ICT in Togo.

It took the shape of Togoese Journalists’ Network for the Promotion and development of ICTs entitled MEDIATIC TOGO.
