International Course Broadcast Journalism : Migration (Feb 5 - Apr 27 2007) Start Date : February 05, 2007 Location : Hilversum, The Netherlands Event Details : This course is designed to strengthen the skills of professional journalists reporting on the causes and effects of migration. It will address representation of migration issues in both broadcast and new media, and participants will be actively involved in creating an internet site focused on the subject of migration. The course will focus on telling the stories of both refugees and voluntary migrants. The scope will be global, and will cover representation of stories of both success and failure. Participants will discuss how these representations influence both public opinion and expectations. Participants will concentrate on either radio or television, but there will be significant crossover and interaction between the two groups. All participants will be exposed to the following topics :
Registration Details : Anyone working in or for the media, who can write and speak English, may apply.
