I’m a senior reporter cum Head, ICT desk, with Daily Champion, a national daily in Lagos, Nigeria. Born in 1970, I also moderates the African ICT Media group, Nigeria chapter and a member of the African Information Society Initiative (AISI) media caucus. I serve as chairman, International Relations, Nigeria Internet Group (NIG) and secretary, International Affiliation of the Joint Action Committee on ICT Awareness and Development (JACITAD). I’m the recipient for several Awards including HANA Journalist of the year 2006 and a Haayo Prize.

I am the managing editor of a small publishing outfit in Kaduna state, Nigeria – The City Sound Publishing. I am also working as a freelance journalist with the West Africa Democracy Radio, WADR, in Dakar, Senegal. Iam also a poet and have had few of my poems published in magazines and online. I am the recipient of the “Special Award” in PIWA “Information Societies” 2008.

ICTs have been influencing positively my journalism career which has spanned over five years. In fact, I couldn’t say I were a journalist, today, if I didn’t take advantage of the ICT tools at my disposal. A journalist who fails to realize that we are in the technology and information age, will find it really hard practicing his or her profession effectively, because journalism has evolved.
